The Met Career & Technical Center High School, Providence

Rowse Architects provided architectural design services and extensive site analysis of multiple building sites for a new campus that encompasses six buildings, four schools, 120,000 SF on ten acres.

 

The Met is a network of six small, public high schools located in Providence, RI. It is a leader in school reform and is consistently identified by a sweeping range of educational leaders as one of the most effective models in the country.

 

Additional design consideration was given for non-school and community events – The Met partners with a host of community entities that support local neighborhoods and organizations.

 

RA worked closely with National Grid to implement energy efficient electrical/lighting systems. The outcome was such a success that National Grid uses this project as a case study to promote energy efficient projects. This was a publicly funded project in the state of Rhode Island.
